Re: A new Smith
congratulations on the new addition to your family
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
I´m not strange, I´m just not normal
Every sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad is a full minute of happiness you never get back

Re: A new Smith
Thanks very much everyone for all your best wishes (and even cards from some of you!). Everyone has been very kind.
Lucy gave us all a bit of a scare by having lost 18% of her birth weight at 5 days old, so she was taken back into hospital to be fed up
. The poor little mite was being poked and prodded and having needles stuck in her arm. I will admit to finding that very difficult to watch, but Claire made sure that she was holding Lucy's hand through it all.
A couple of days later, she was allowed home again, at only 8% below her birth weight.
Now being bottle-fed, she seems to be doing rather well. We have the next health-visitor checkup tomorrow, so we are looking forward to reading those digital scales (accurate, but soul-less).
I've attached a couple of pics. More will appear on Lucy's web page at http://www.claireandjohn.me.uk/button if you are interested.
Thanks again,
John, Claire & Lucy
