I find this very interesing as recently I kept seeing what seemed to be either a black mouse or a large black insect in my peripheral vision, running e.g. along the skirting board or the back of the kitchen work top.
In homeopathy this is an indication for several remedies and proved to be the case. I was subsequently prescribed a remedy for eczema, which also included this symptom and the little black running things have gone away!
The world just aint as it seems

This really is quite fascinating.
Are we all getting some kind of visual halicination at one time or another?
Is this linked to the way we interpret the the confusing images that KC generates?
Is there a link between this and Charles Bonnet Syndrome or is there something else that we don't know?
Guess it would require a researcher to look at this.

Yes this is linked to Charles Bonnet but because of the lack of reporting cases like this for obvious reasons (people afraid of being thought crazy) its not really been thought of as being a problem with KC. I myself throught Drew was prone to it because he has other ocular probs beside KC.
I think I will now email those experts the RNIB suggested and talk to them about it!
Thank you very much for the information everyone. And hmm Janet, I think it might be a good idea to chat to you about the homeopathic remedy you used there!
I am away at my conference for a couple of days but will chase all this up when I come back.

I think i may suffer from the same problems.
I quiet often when walking stop and jerk back as if i am stopping myself from bumping into something thats not there!
I see dark shapes out of the corner of my right eye( My worse eye).
I always point out things to my family and then have to be corrected because its something totally different!
And my worse problem (and i have mentioned this before)is that people and objects seem transparent!
I have always put all this down to using guess work rather than my eyes, if that makes any sense.
