Hi,
No technical stuff to add but good luck. It can take quite some time from diagnosis to finding the right solution and being able to get on with life. But you will get there and the the adjustment will be made. While you are in that no-man's land of referrals and waiting for treatment take heart in knowing that soon enough you will be able to see so much clearer again, hopefully that will see you through the frustration.
Good luck!
Just diagnosed

Update from me: I've now been to the local eye hospital and referred to a lovely local optician and am setting out down the road with RGP lenses.
I'm amazed - I tried soft lenses about 7 years ago - couldn't get on with them at all - found them really uncomfortable and the vision was appaling. I thought I f I couldn't tolerate soft then I shouldn't even think about hard.
But thanks to my wonderful optician I'm getting along pretty okay with my new lenses - wearing them for 8 hours most days. I can't say they are 100% comfortable - that would be too much to ask. But it's amazing how much that doesn't matter given the wonderful vision I have with them - better even than my glasses and that wasn't bad.
I feel like a new woman.......
