London Marathon

Postby Anne Klepacz » Mon 19 Jan 2026 2:41 pm

We're delighted to report that we have a runner in this year's London Marathon. New member Tosin Adebanjo contacted us to say he had got a place in the ballot and could he fundraise for the KC Group. Below is his statement on his fundraising page and a link to the page. We hope all our members will support him and contribute as much as they can. And maybe we can organise a meet-up somewhere along the route to cheer Tosin on? We're hugely grateful to Tosin and wish him all the very best with his training and for the big day!

"I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for the Keratoconus Group because keratoconus has been part of my life for the past 15 years. Living with the condition has brought daily challenges, from changes in vision and ongoing treatment to the emotional impact of adapting to something that affects such a fundamental sense as sight. Over time, it has also taught me resilience, patience, and the value of both medical and personal support.
The Keratoconus Group plays a vital role in raising awareness and providing information and support to those living with keratoconus. By taking on this marathon, I want to give something back and help ensure others affected by the condition feel informed, supported, and less alone.
This marathon is a huge personal challenge for me, but it’s one I’m proud to take on—not just for myself, but for everyone living with keratoconus.
If you’d like to support my fundraising, please visit my page using the link below:

Thank you very much for your support of both me and the Keratoconus Group".
