I have been registered as severely sight impaired / blind since March 2010. I usually use a white long cane to help me navigate but earlier this year I decided why not pimp it up n add some colour so ordered a purple and hot pink cane. It finally arrived last week, seems to put more smiles on peoples faces n make the world feel able to talk about sight loss and how my journey to date has been. I am aware that to have your KC leave you blind is rare but it is not as rare as many may think so thought id share to give positivity to anyone who is at a stage I found myself.
I have attachedd a photo of me n my coloured cane taken at the weekend whilst I was at the park with mini space_cadet
