Corneal glue

Postby dalbeath » Fri 22 Jul 2016 3:37 pm

I currently have a perforated cornea, it was glued after a couple of days but then leaked again after 5 days. It was then re-glued and now after a further 5 days it is still holding.

If the glue fails again then the hospital say I will have to have an emergency graft.

Has anyone else had glue? Did it work? How long was the glue on for before it healed? Did one lot of glue do it or did you need several lots of glue?

Thanks

prior to getting pregnant with my now nearly 3 n a half year old my left cornea literally split before the eyes of an optom under teh slit lamp n i had to have it glued there n then, it only held a few days before having to be redone but thankfully held that time. x
