Hi, my husband had intac surgery a week ago. The day after he thought there was a little improvement but now is not sure. Having spent hours searching and reading info on the internet I am getting differing expectations. Some sites say expect very quick improvement, other say it can be very slow. We are both feeling very anxious and although I appreciate it is different for everyone and varies depending on the severity etc. it would be helpful to get some thoughts from those of you who have had this surgery with successful results.
Plenty of negative stuff around so would really appreciate some encouraging info !!!
Thanks,
Joanne

Re: intac surgery results
Hi Joanne. A week is a very short time. From other people's accounts here, changes are usually quite slow so it can take anything from a few months to 12 months to see the final effect. Although I haven't had Intacs, my experience of a transplant was similar. The day after the operation, everything seemed much sharper. But the next day, it was back to being blurred and it took months to see much of a difference. So it's a question of patience!
