Hi,
I am really new to this forum, but I really feel like I need some support. I am lost in the world of hospitals and routine eye check-ups.,
We are currently under the care of Moorfields Eye Hospital. We have been waiting over 6 months for an appointment of Hard Lenses for my husband, during this time his eyes are persistently red, irritated and dry. Since then the Keratoconus has got worse in the left eye.
Currently he is using over the counter brands of optex for dry eyes, and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of any eye drops he can use now to help him while he is in the waiting list for an appt.
Any recommendations or guidance will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Jayna

Re: Eyedrops for Kera?
Hi Jayna and welcome,
You may have done this already, but it might be worth checking that the contact lens clinic does have your husband lined up for an appointment. Administrative mistakes do happen even at the best hospitals. Is your husband already wearing lenses of some kind, or are those symptoms without lenses? There's quite a variety of eye drops available over the counter that he could try from straightforward wetting drops like Blink and Refresh to more 'oily' ones that some people find work for them such as Clinitas Soothe or Systane. Other forum users might have other drops they would recommend.
I hope he gets his appt soon.
