Re: corneal grafts, and contact lenses?
I don't have any actua statitistics but having attended many KC support group meetings, confrences AGM's and attended contact lens workshops where new optoms are trained it is pretty much an even split between those who need contact lens and those who need glasses.
A graft like any other surgical intervention for KC has the aim of making vision correction easier.
Many years ago, the KC Group did a survey of its members which I think asked what vision correction people post graft required.
I for instance initially required glasses for the first five years, then nothing for about 5 years before returning to glasses until 2004 where I went back in to contact lenses.
The type of vison correction required can change as you and the graft ages.
