Sorry in advance if i have asked similar questions but i really cant decide whether to have cross linking done...
I am 27 and have had KC since i was 21, i currently wear only one RGP len in my good eye, my left eye is far more advanced than my good right eye, i seem to get really good vision wearing only one lens.
My last check up appointment was last monday and i could read the second bottom line of the chart, the lady said my vision was excellent
I think in theory cross linking on my good eye would be good however i am concerned about recovery times etc, i couldnt take time of work, I work for Next in their Head Office and am constantly busy
Any advice would be appreciated
Thank you

All the best with your decision; remember it is a decision YOu have to take.
For myself, I have never been signed up to the notion that crosslinking offers benefits to all that have it done.

Re: Cant Decide on Cross Linking any advice?
I had one KC in one eye and it was too advanced for CXL, but no sign of it in the other eye.
As soon as I discovered I also had it in my 'good' eye too I had the CXL done. Not a pleasant procedure but back at work the next week. For me it was a good decision as it not only stabailsed my KC but I got a slight flattening of the cone so a small improvement in vision. That was 18 months ago and no change at all/no further deterioration.
But you have to make the right decision for you
Good luck

Re: Cant Decide on Cross Linking any advice?
I had Femto pocket cross linking and only had two weeks off and should be driving within 3-4 due to awaiting a new contact lens. I'm nearly there with my glasses but not quite.
The Femto pocket rather than epi off method gives a much quicker recovery time.
I have only sight in one eye and that has KC so I had to do it to preserve what I have and have no back up!
Go for it is my thought......
