Hi,
I am new to this website but have had KC since 2006.
I have eczema around my eyes which at times is very hard to manage. A few weeks ago I was told I had blepheritis and as a result have had to stop wearing my lenses. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experince and if so how long it took for things to clear up?
I have tried searching the web but unfortunately cannot find much about blepheritis in KC patients.

Re: eczema and KC
Hi Ash and welcome to the forum,
I think quite a few people here have eczema as well as KC so they might come up with suggestions for that. As for blepharitis, I had a bout of that myself a few years back. I was lucky, and mine cleared quickly - as far as I remember, I only left my lenses out for a week or so. But I know other people haven't been so lucky. The information on how to deal with blepharitis holds for people with KC as well - it's just that it's much more of an issue for us if it stops us wearing our lenses.
All the best
Anne

Hi Ash. Welcome to the forum.
I think that Blepharitis is probably quite common in people with KC, as is dry eye. I guess many of us have all three conditions, and maybe others as well.
Every good wish.

HI AshM I suffer with Blepharitis and often have had bad bouts in summer though i do manage it by bathing my eyes regular, every morning and using johnstons baby shampoo to keep my eye lids clean, this works for me
