venting off
Well I am eagerly awaiting wednesday as I am having my new lenses fitted. I have waited a few weeks for them now and its quite amazing how much my sight has deteriorated in that time. I have new glasses on order for days that I cant wear the lenses and I didnt realise how much the prescription has changed. When i wear no glasses everything is blurred and shakey and it looks like things jump out (like a 3 d effect) They are becoming increasingly sensitive to sunlight and reflections (even light behind my head bouncing off my glasses into my eyes is not very comfortable thus resulting in them being thrown over the floor in a temper
. I have now put a screen over my computer monitor to help with this problem. I am just a bit worried that the lenses will make my eyes even more sensitive that what they are. Im hoping that the new lenses will make a difference as i know for a fact that my left eye is getting worse by the day and almost the same as the right eye. Its just getting me down at the moment because i am now noticing differences i cant read for as long as i used too and i dont know if anyone else gets it but when my eyes get sensitive it brings on the most awful headaches ever and drs always tell me its a migrane (my own GP is useless)
okay so its not much of a rant but i feel better now

Hi Tracey,
I have very similar complaints, ecexpt my right eye is a 'lazy eye' after having too much muscle removed from it when younger...so I am told so I only 'use'my left eye and the the vison in that has greatly reduced since xmas just gone.
I get awful, numb pain above my left eye which spreads around the socket area almost daily now...it' ain't a headache type of pain but try explaining this to your doctor!
More worringly my eyes have started to develop a sqint inwards over the pass few months and my vision has become like when you 'crossed' your eyes when younger permanently, with bits of vision missing and a reduced field of vision although my eyes do not appered crossed just the right one slighly turning in......
Anyway..you are not alone , sad thing is 6 months ago I was really concerned and hassleing my GP and eye clinic on an almost weekly basis with my concerns, now I just wake up stick in lens and take what happens, though this is geting difficult being a teacher and either redaing or sat infront of a pc most of my time!!
Things can only get better...
Dave.
