Am i eligible for KeraSoft Lenses

I have a question on my eligibility for kerasoft lenses

Just a background :
I am 27 years old diagnosed with KC for a year now. Not much change in vision through the last year , and possibly minimal progression of KC in one eye, other one is yet to develop the condition.
I was asked to refrain from RGP as it might cause the onset of another progression, but i am a little scared since i am entirely dependent on one eye(the right one) and one my right eye gets affected i might have very poor vision.

So here goes my questions :
(1) Can i get KeraSoft lenses for only the affected eye?
(2) My power is : sph : 1.75 Cyl 3.75 axis :110
Am I eligible for KS Lenses?
(3) Where can I get more info on the type of KeraSoft lenses that would be good for me?
(4) The main reason why I want to try out these soft lenses is because , I want to reassure myself of that fact that I can get some decent vision out of my left eye. So I would probably be an occasional wearer of the lenses and would stick to my glasses as I am happy with the combined vision that I am getting at the moment, but cant help worry about what would happen if my right eye went bad.
With reference to that, I would want to know, is there a possibility of damage and progression while I am trying out and fitting the Kerasoft lenses?
I heard they are safer than RGP, but since I did not go through C3R I was wondering if it was the right thing to do

Would really appreciate some opinion on this

I fit KeraSoft lenses so will try and talk you through your questions.

Your prescription is well within the range of KeraSoft lenses, so that is not an issue. However, no-one can tell if any lens type will work just by looking at a prescription. Whether a lens "works" or not depends on many things, including your expectations.

The KeraSoft IC lens is the newest version of the lens and is the one to go for. The manufacturers still supply all other versions for people who are happy with them, but for any new fit, I would always use KeraSoft IC. Having said that, some practitioners still prefer to use other versions, and if they work, that is absolutely fine. Again, this relates to the answer above: the best lens for YOU is the one that WORKS! I think I saw on another post that you are in India? in which case, only the KeraSoft IC is available there anyway but you can find out more information from http://www.kerasoft.co.in/.

If you just really want to see if your left eye can get good vision, then really, its not even necessary to purchase lenses - what you need is a contact lens assessment to see what contact lenses can do for you. This then gives you the peace of mind that you can use them if need be.

Damage and progression are two different things. It is highly unlikely a soft lens will damage your eyes if used correctly but ANY contact lens can cause damage if not used properly (e.g. wearing longer than advised, sleeping in them, not cleaning them properly etc). No contact lens can stop progression. Rigid lenses can mask it, as they compress the cornea, but the cornea will go back to the shape it would have been if you take the lens out. However, soft lenses, although they do cause some slight moulding to the cornea, will not change it as much as a rigid lens.

I will try out the kerasoft lenses shortly and update the status.
I feel that kerasoft lenses are easily confused with other kinds soft lenses out here ,and would probably have to watch out for that
