Synergeyes Clearkone

Postby Anna Mason » Sun 27 Mar 2011 9:42 am

I have had my new lens for nearly 6 months (Right eye) and I have a moderate Cataract in left eye so assumed experience with right eye may be cataract too. Well it isnt so I am now not sure about my syn lens.

The experience I am having is very erratic vision (phew glad I spelt that right) I can have nice sharp vision which suddenly gloes blurry and later on comes back agian. I am getting a lot of ghosting too. I notice it more now as I have had some left lens free days beacuse of a touch of conjunctivitis.

At one point yesterday I had both lenese in was trying to text on my mobile phone and had what I would estimate to be 3 or 4 keyboards overlapping. Its a touchphone and with predictive text as well my nearly facebook post had to be abandned.

Take care he says I hope thats not a reference to me taking a horse out yesterday and galloping thru the woods before having a belt around a cross-country course?

Luckily we can both do it with our eyes shut. :-)

Could it be that your eyes are just getting too dry?

I use clinitas soothe with my lens in place. The artificial tears drench the lens and give it an all over coating of lovely dampness.

Hello all,

I've just landed in UK, I'm wearing Hybrid Contact lenses, and I would like to know if there any specialist regarding Synergeys Clearkone fitting in UK. I'm living in Reading, England. Any information about how to get these lenses (or similar ones) will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sebastian.

Hi Sebastian and welcome to the forum,
These lenses are certainly available in the UK. If you're entitled to NHS treatment, you might be able to get them through the eye clinic at your local hospital. Otherwise you'll find a list of optometrists who deal with KC at keratoconus-group.org.uk/optoms.index.php so you could phone a few in your area and check whether they supply Clearkone.
All the best
Anne
