hi all

just wondering i had my graft done just over year ago and still got stitches in. with the nice weather hopefully. can we just go swimming or do we need protection etc ie goggles

I'd ask my ophthalmologist about swimming before taking the plunge. You may be advised to wear good goggles.

I was told at my pre-op appointment that I was never allowed to go swimming again!!!
She did say later, only in clean water and wearing 100% complete waterprrof and leakproof goggles.
I such a thing exists....!
How long I decide to stick to that advice, particularlyseeming how adhere to that, ah. that temains to be seen.

Seems as though there is a lot of conflicting advice. I had my pre op at the Leicester Royal yesterday. The leaflet I was given said to avoid swimming for One month . I would go with Andrews advice and ask and certainly wear goggles
