My Scleral Fishbowl

Postby Anna Mason » Sat 19 Feb 2011 10:45 am

Dont worry this isnt anti-scleral I love my Scleral lens.....BUT.... I posted last September about breaking in a new scleral I had loads of problems and was working thru lens changes in my other eye so I put it to bed for a while as it really hurt my eye.

This week I discover that no wonder it bloomin hurt it was the wrong diameter. I was told it was a little bigger ... tell my eye that it thought someone was ploughing thru my eye with a JCB.

So sorry folks I am posting a lot but I am going thru it with my vision at the moment.

2010 was a terrible year as I lost my Mum and my nerve (thrown badly horseriding) and now looks like 2011 is going to be rollerskating uphill again.

But just a positive note on slerals for anyone starting :-

Eyeeye cleaner rinsed of with Saline, Conditioning fluid over outer surface and sterile slaine in bowl = Heaven and no dust problems.

The removal of the dust problem is, in m yexperience, the greatest benefit of the scleral lens.

but, OUCCHHHHHHHHHH: having the wrong size lens is probably not a great asset.
