Question about Kerasoft lenses

Postby Allie » Sat 20 Feb 2010 8:40 am

Hi everybody

I have some questions about the kerasoft lenses
two days ago I knew that we have a distributor for kerasoft lenses here in Syria
and please I need some information about those lenses

Is kerasoft Lens completely soft ?
Do I need some time till I get used to kerasoft lenses ?
Can I use kerasoft with a grafted eye or in my other eye which have Intacs ?

Allie

I am afraid that I don't know the answers to your questions, but there is sure to be somebody along in a moment who does.

Just be careful: Kerasoft lenses are wonderful for the people who can use them, but they are not marketed as the ultimate solution to everybody's keratoconus.

Every good wish

Yes, they are completely soft, though maybe a little firmer or more formed than the usual soft lenses.

You don't need too much time to get used to the lenses, though if you have been wearing RGP then it will take a few weeks for your cornea's to "de-mould".

You can also wear them post graft, though I'm not sure how quickly after surgery.

My son wears kerasoft in his right eye, takes practice to put in, as its larger and I have to help, but once in, he wears it all day. Only had this lens for over a month.

Allie,

To answer your other question, yes KeraSoft can be used after grafting and after INTACS - as can many other contact lens types. You really have to get advice from an eye care expert to see if ANY lens is suitable for you personally.
