home from 1st lens fitting and not impressed

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!

Appointment was 10.30am, at 10.30am got called thru, thinking kewl they are running to time.

Fast forward to 11.20ish am and the dudet got the sodding lens stuck in the crease of my right eye, and YOWCHITY to say the least, is now 3pm and still bothering me.

She then decided to consult a collegue and came to the conclusion to try a differnt form of rigid lenses, whilst taking that one out she looked concerned, went to get a different collegue who said there is air between my pupil and cornea!??!? so it should settle in a few hours and gave me a 4 strip of eye drops for it.

Left eye, could wtih the aid of a bit of a pescription read more on the chart than hve managed in g-d knows how long (only a letter on the 4th row from top but made me smile, normally get the first 2 with it then zap no joy)

Left eye they think should be ok for a year or so with lenses, right they rung to see where I am on waiting list for graft after signing consent last month and at the time was told around a year but today they are sying 9 months.

Yup I am online then again zooming in on Firefox and the ability to touch type is a blessing, altho got right eye closed as its not as painful as when open.

Now to try write more of a presentation for a event next week in Bradford on Self Injury that I am speaking at.

But smiling as left eye is given some relief.

Just wanna curl up in a ball about my right one and the lens being stuck.

Lea

I'd say you have described an appointment that did not go well. I am sorry that they had so much trouble finding a fit for your eye.

What next? Is there another appointment looming? Really sorry about all this, and I sincerely hope that your next and subsequent appointments go better.

All the best

Andrew

cheers I'm just fed up of being in pain in general hence the negative subject line to my rant, all be it that my left eye was helped a lil bit, right eye is still sore as hell and has managed to as good as give me a migrane down one side of my face, now typing with my right eye closed, right hand over it and hair down over the top.

Next appointment is friday next week, can't remember the time, got it writen in my filofax, wherever I dumped my bag but that involves moving :p

Not a happy LeaLea as a friend of mine pointed out, I dunno why but I was hoping that like magic i'd be able to see 'properly' again in both eyes by lunchtime, then again as Luce pointed out to me earlier on Facebook Chat 'we can always dream until then have to Zap thru a pc, risking electric shocks as treatment to fall in a heap n give each other a hug' (Luce if your reading this hunni hope your broken wrists are healing and you have managed to avoid any more concisons or trips to a+e! - breaking both wrists at the same time and concusion, mentalist doolalie girlie but I still luf ya!)

.. and if the bin men don't quit driving down the main road with carhorns clearly in unision I may just end up crying
