*insert pathetic subject line here*

Postby space_cadet » Fri 10 Jul 2009 1:01 am

Ben and I split chores around the apartment, generally him giving me baby sized things to do at a time as I have the attention span that is below a goldfish a fair bit of the time.

I am ment to be the one designated to the washing up (we don't have a diswasher) As of about 3 maybe 4 months ago it became clear I can't wash glasses as they just don't get clean.

It makes me feel pathetic and worthless. I feel at times dependant on him for so much, and resent myself for it as I am a stuborn person by nature who is by my own admission not very good at accepting help when I struggle with things.

Sorry to post this but was going to try wash up but the prospect has led to me crying.

When I couldn't see there were lots of things that were done 'well enough', even if they were not done perfectly. This meant that I had the dignity of being involved in the ordinary tasks of the household and my wife and children got used to working around my limitations.
