Re: Submitted!!
Thanks hunni, have received my unioffical grades but can't make them public for a while incase the external verfiers change them, which I wish they would by 6% :p - Please if you are a praying person reading this pray with me that they will let me have 6% more for my overall grade, by giving a certain JH lectures work the minamum grades I feel that it deserves

Re: Submitted!!
1 of the lecturers I had was shocking, I spent a while complaining about her, and got listened to, but my lowest grades by a rough 10%-20% per essay have come from her.

You could ask for those essays to be re-assessed by an independent marker.

Re: Submitted!!
I will be insisting on it, fed up of her attitude. I had one remarked last year that she gave me 43% for remarked got 66%. I am sure she hates me as I wouldn't tolerate her comments to someone on my course last year and I stood upto her. (she wrote them feedback of 'I know English isn't your first language but you should learn English better as I don't understand your work'.) Complaint got her a disciplinary but clearly not enough of a a**e kick, she has given me personally a lot of cr@p including in January a few weeks after my Gramps passed away in December telling me 'get a grip and stop crying, crying is pathetic' But being me, I didn't tolerate her comment and gave her a piece of my mind along the lines of 'crying is a healthy release of emotions, and how dare you think you can tell me how to grieve, you are not me, so please keep your ignorance inside as I don't want to deal with it'.
Fun times. Have nearly finished the email asking for my work for her to be remarked.

Re: Submitted!!
I had a similar problem with my final year project back in 1993, it was marked so low it meant I would not even get a third class degree!
Got it reassessed by somone who had done similar research to my final year project who was based in Warwick Uni (I was at London Uni) and the result of the remarking pushed me to an upper second with honours.
I managed to find why I was marked so low to. The original assessor was an entomologist who had no understanding of microbiology. The guy in Warwick was a microbiologist and could clearly see the relevence of my work to the environment so I got my degree in Environmental Microbiology after a brief fight.

Re: Submitted!!
The modules I have been 'under marked' (personal tutor just emailed me a hour ago) were initally marked by someone who has no specialist area, she is most of the time a Futher Education tutor in the subject of Health & Social Care, having the misfortune you could say for her of teaching us means that she wont be let loose on Higher Education students for a while :p
My personal tutor emailed me a hour ago to say she can tell my work has been under marked so she is going to ask for a 2nd assessment of it.
