Hospital appointment
I have finally been given a hospital appointment for the KC I have in my left eye, This has stopped me playing football and cricket, the two things I like most to do. What can I expect next week at my appointment, This really is important to me as I cant purchase sports specs of find suitable contacts anymore because of the severity of prescription. is there hope for me yet?

Re: Hospital appointment
There is always hope.
Depending on where your appointment is you may see an optometrist first (that was my son's experience first time he went to the KC clinic at Gartnavel), and then an ophthalmologist
They will look at your condition and let you know what they recommend.
All the best
Andrew

Re: Hospital appointment
Hi Fordy
To answer your first question - there is always hope. You will be amazed at the amount of options available for KC patients and I am sure once you have the opportunity to express your concerns at the hospital appointment then you will feel a whole lot better.
Let us know how you get on and best of luck!
