All our mailing list members who have had the recent newsletter will already know about this, but for any forum members in the South East, our next meeting is at 2pm on Sat 20th September at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the Clinical Tutorial Complex on the 2nd floor. Shreeti Lakhani, Principal Optometrist, will be talking about what optoms look for when they are fitting lenses for KC eyes and the various options available.
All welcome - come and meet other people with KC and find out you're not alone!

Re: London meeting Saturday 20th September
Hi All.
just thought I would get this post back on the first page to remind people about the meeting this weekend. I will be there and i expect the usual reprobates will also attend. It will be nice to see any new people that can make it. It is good to talk to other people that understand what you are going through. The mad dash to the pub afterwards is normally well attended as well, the committee might even turn up if they can get their meeting over with in a resonable time.
See you Saturday
Pat

Re: London meeting Saturday 20th September
Hi Pat and any other regulars planning to attend. The meeting is at TWO O'CLOCK this time, not in the morning. This means the committee can have their meeting in the morning, stay for the general meeting AND come to the pub with everyone else!
Hope to see lots of you there.
Anne

Re: London meeting Saturday 20th September
Unfortunatly I will have to depart as soon as the committee meeting is over as I need to attend a works bash in Loughborough later.
I realy hope the trains run on time and two hours is enough to get fed and suitably dressed up for a fancy do!

Re: London meeting Saturday 20th September
Hi all,
I'm intending to be there on Saturday.
May or may not be in my jodhpurs, depending whether I get up in time to get out to see Duke in the morning.
I'll try not to be turning up dressed in quantities of mud too, having fallen off him!

Re: London meeting Saturday 20th September
Thank you, Andrew = we certainly did!
Interesting meeting wth lots of fat chewed, problems aired and Suggestions For Improvement made, and a few good laughs too. And of course lots of good chance to natter there and in the pub afterwards of course.
Good to see so many friends old and new again.
Many thanks to the organisers, to Shreeti for coming to talk (and Ken for his assistance from not quite the back row).
Looking forard to the next one(s) already - and hoping something beneficial comes out of all the plotting I heard going on. Oh, if only we could invent an NHS ""system"" from scratch, we wouldn't start from here!
