A lot happens in a year

Postby John Smith » Sat 05 Jul 2008 1:13 pm

After running the pre-release version of the forum software now for over a year, the time has come to move to the real thing.

Today, I've updated the forum software to the current "live" version - and we were running software 5 versions behind, so the upgrade was rather laborious.

You may notice the forum behaving slightly differently in places now; that is to be expected. However, if something really does seem wrong, please let me know asap.

Addendum: I've had to remove the KC-branded style from the site for now, and make use of the standard style. It seems that some update I've installed has made my old custom style invalid... it still appears to work, but stops people from posting  ! I'm working on a replacement, and will install it when it's ready.

In the meantime, I do realise that the fonts are rather smaller by default now. You should be able to enlarge them on a Windows browser by holding down the CTRL key and scrolling the mouse window.

All the best,

John

John

Even if you don't manage to restore the old "custom" style, I guess we can get used to the present one!

Thanks again for all your work.
