Hi Everybody,
I just wanted to share some good news about my graft progress so far.
I saw my consultant today for my 2 week check up and it could not have gone any better. I have been in bed for the last 2 days with some sort of virus and still feel like utter trash at the moment. I fully expected this to have had an effect on my progress and sight so I went in not expecting anything different from last week.
To my surprise I could see the first 3 lines without any help and virtually read the whole chart with the pin holes glasses.
Mr Greenwood claimed that my graft (touch wood) is doing extremely well and is one of best he has seen at this stage which has cheered me up no end.
He's even cancelled my appointment for next week and has moved it too 2 weeks away because of the progress its making(which handlery also saves me £125 from my remaining allowance)
I have also been told I can stop the antibiotic in one weeks time and continue only with the Steroids which in time will be decreased in time.
Fingers crossed it sounds like the three of us on here that had grafts done within a couple of days of each other are all doing well.
Long may that continue!!!!
regards
Chris

Well done Chris
Stay on that trajectory and you'll be seeing with the best of us in no time at all.
By the way, I misread your parenthetic (touch wood). I am afraid that I am one of the sad few who enjoy the tongue in cheek BBC tv sci fi programme whose title is an anagram of Doctor Who.

Re: 2 weeks on
That's great Chris
And welcome bobbybingo- i found this site so useful in learnnig what to expect. the more i found out about the operation the better i felt. i even asked my doctor to explain all the steps they take during the operation.
I haven't tried the pinhole thing. will ask my doc at next appointment. I have also been told to stay away for 2 weeks (unless a problem) and have been changed to steroid only drops
otherwise all going suprisingly well

Hi Chris,
Im so glad that you have had positive comments from your doctor- I know I dont hav the condition myself but I know when Jarek gets good news I feel more emotional than him, its like a massive achievement, that all the suffering and pain is paying off!!
Hang in there and long may the progress continue!!!!
