my right eye vision has been decreased

Postby eman samir » Wed 30 Jan 2008 2:18 am

i am now feeling a bad feeling....i am feeling that my right eye vision has been decreased and that is the worst feeling that can anyone have.i can notice the big difference in my vision in the last 2 months.the great problem is that i depend totally on my right eye.i can see nothing by my left eye.i am wearing glasses now because i am rgp lenses intolerant.i am afraid if i go to the doctor that he tells me i may need a transplant.the transplant may be in my both eyes.i am afraid of going to my eye doctor. :( i don't know what to do...
for indeed,it is not the eyes that grow blind but it is the hearts which are within the bosoms that grow blind...

Hi Eman,
The same thing happenend to me. My vision in my right eye deteriorated rapidly after a 'scratch incident'. I first went to my optometrist to see if it was a lens thing, but then had to see my doctor, who said it was probably a scar.
I suggest you see your doctor and see what he says, then you can investigate the options.

Hi Eman,
Do go to your specialist. If you're rgp intolerant, there may be other lenses that you could tolerate. I don't know if Intacs are available in Egypt, but that might be another option - several people here have found lens wear much easier after that procedure. And if a graft is recommended for you, then it would only be in one eye. So while the graft was healing, you'd be no worse off than you are now, and with the prospect of better sight in your left eye in the months to come. Good luck!
Anne

Eman

Yes, go to your eye doctor. If he says you need a graft, then this will give you the possibility of good sight again. I know it is scary (that is why I kept putting it off as well), but in the long run it could be an end to all this trouble with eyesight.

All the best

Andrew
