I have recently had an eye test and since the implantation of an Intac, 4 months ago. I am able to see the 2nd line from the bottom of the snellen chart.
Would someone please tell me what my vision is? ie 6/6
I am waiting for this eye to get to a standard so that i can rely on it to have an intac removed and reimplanted in my left eye.
Many thanks

The second bottom line sounds like a really impressive result, but I am afraid that you'd need to ask your optometrist what the actual reading was.
Some charts are designed to give a more varied scale of readings than others so thast, while the actual reading is consistent across different charts, the value of the 'second bottom line' will vary from chart to chart.
I guess you already know that the European standard is to measure in metres, so that 6/6 means you can see at 6 metres what a normally sighted person can see at 6 metres. 6/12 means that you can see at 6 metres what a normally sighted person can see at 12 metres, and so on.
In the United States the still take these measurements in old Imperial feet, so that they would express 6/6 as 20/20.
Still, well done on your achievement. Whatever the reading the second bottom line is impressive, to say the least.

The really upsetting thing is that I am getting 6/6 with my left eye, however it is so uncomfortable i am desperate to have it removed. The intac was inserted manually and therefore isn't as deep as the intac in my right eye which has been treated with the femtosecond laser.

From all the charts I've seen, the second from bottom line equates to 6/4.5. To be able to see that far down is good as most "normal" people manage 6/6 at best.
Aided I can get 6/4.5 +2 from my right eye - the one with INTACS, combined I get 6/5 although this can still vary slightly day to day.
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the INTACS in your left eye, I too had mine done manually and have had no problems except for a post op infection.
I wish you the best and hope that you can get your INTACS reimplanted sooner rather than later

There is quite a bit of variability in eye charts in that some stop at 6/6 others at 6/5 or 6/4.5 so to say what you dplees is a bit of a guess.
Call the optom and ask what it is you are seeing, I've found them very helpful when I have asked questions after my hospital visit.
