cloudy lens

Postby Sarah M » Mon 16 Jul 2007 2:44 pm

Hellooo, i've not had a dilemma for a whiley, but i'm back

Grafted eye is behaving well (touch wood) most days. :D

However my good eye....I admit I didn't wear my lens as often as I should have.....mainly as I could see well enough without it, however since April time its been on a slippery slope, and i'm not at the point I wouldn't leave home without it in cause i cant see.

Had my annual visit to the contact lens man, and the KC has only progressed slightly, but nothing to cause concern. Explained that I was struggling, so he increased the power slightly.

Got new lens a few weeks ago, and I have noticed no difference, and looking at the pc screen is actually worse - having to squint like crazy (i'm worried about wrinkles!), but the thing thats getting me, is my lens keeps like fogging up, so having to take it out every couple of hours for a clean.

Its less than 2 weeks old, so surely it cant be a build up of protein already?

Anyone got any ideas, i'd be extremely grateful :)

Sarah

Sarah,

Contact the lens fitter. Without seeing your eye or the len when this occurs, it is impossible to to say.

Had my appointment today....we are thinking the problem is lack of oxygen, used same type of lens for years now and never been a problem, but hey ho, a new one, made from a different material is on order :)
