Hi Kerrie,
I too am in SoftPerm lenses and although they are my most favourite lenses out of the 10 or 12 different types I've tried (including soft lenses, piggy backs, hard lenses, scleral etc. etc.) I dont always get on with them.
Can I ask what solutions you are using? I was using Tesco's own solution for ages (believe it or not it was a very good solution) until just before Christmas they changed it and over the last few months my eyes have become intolerant to it - I may be wrong, it may not be the solutions but changing to a new solution has made my lens wearing a lot easier.
Last bank holiday weekend I swapped to AOSept Plus by CIBAVision - its a one bottle solution with a special disk in the case which neutralises the solution overnight.
There isnt any rubbing of the lenses or need for separate protein removal tablets - I think I may have removed some of the pain just by not cleaning them every night.
Good luck.

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.
