Cornea Transplants on TV tonight

Postby Pat A » Wed 21 Mar 2007 7:56 pm

Have just noticed that "Child in a Million" on Ch5 in about 5 minutes is supposedly covering 2 brothers needing a cornea transplant. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested (I am!)

I watched it! Two children (brothers) each received a cornea from a donor in Bristol.

Both operations went well.

Thank you for your compliments Anne! I have however, to give some (most...all...! ) of the credit to another.

To save embarrassment as HE is no doubt of modest disposition, I cannot of course name HIM but if you can see well enough with your new funky specs (that you probably haven't got yet!) you may just notice a striking resemblamce to the signature of someone else who posts quite regulalrly on the forum.....

Hey - did you watch the programme - I thought it fascinating but also very humbling as I realise how good my (poor) sight is compared with others less fortunate than myself. I am so grateful for what I do have.
