Good News

Postby Andrew MacLean » Wed 07 Feb 2007 7:37 am

I had my pre-theatre yesterday for my cataract surgery.

All set for Wednesday, Feb 14. :D Local anesthetic, in and out on the same day. They will correct the position of my PK in the same eye and I can aticipate being able to wear normal specs, rather than these very expensive ones with the high correction for astignatism.

But the really good news came with my DALK eye. For the first time since surgery in October I was able, with correction, to read down to the third line. :D

Things are looking up.

Thanks to everyone for the support I was given over all this. I shall let you know how things go next week.

Andrew
That's really good news. Hope all goes well next week - will be thinking of you. (been there - got the T-shirt!)
Do you know what type/power of lens your surgeon will be inserting?

pat

We spoke about the types of lens that were available, but I didn't see him again after I had finished biometrics. I'll find out the answer on Wednesday when I turn up for the operation.

That is good news Andrew. Not just for the cataract, but also for the DALK.

I'm seeing my consultant on Friday, and hope to have similar good news with mine!
