Cold Eye

Postby Anne B » Tue 23 Jan 2007 10:31 pm

Over the last couple of mornings i have had a bit of pain in my grafted eye. It seems to be when i am on the school run and as i don't drive normally takes about a hour walking to different school!!! anyway i wondered if it could be the cold weather making my eye hurt.
Has anyone else had this?
On Monday it was bad enough for me to call hubby and say that a trip to Moorfields may be needed  (that went down well i can tell you  )

I would get any pain that persists checked out especially if there's any redness, blurring.

Anne,

It could be the bad weather, being out for a long time is bad whether you have had a graft or not! I would go and get it checked out though, especially since you say it was bad enough to think about going to Moorfields. Can't say that i have experienced this, my grafted eye does ache sometimes but this is me being tired!

Take care, Sweet X x X

Anne

As a general rule; if you have a pain in your eye, get it checked by an expert.

Do not keep a pain to see what will happen tomorrow!

The cold and windy weather is very drying and it is quite possible if you suffer dry eyes normally the weather is agravating the problem.

I sometimes get this, so resort to wearing the wrap round shades to create a small micro climate round my eyes which is more comfortable.

I didn't get the pain today so thats good not as windy today but it had snowed!!!
I suddenly realised how precious my newly grafted eye is as i tried to make it through the school play ground without getting hit by a snow ball

A funny story for everyone

My little girl collected snow all the way too school today. When it was time to go in to class she asked me really sweetly if i would look after her snow for the rest of the day!!!!!bless her, left me with a smile on my face :D

Hi Anne,

Yes, it is good that your eye is better. Be sure to mention the issue next time you see your consultant though - as I've discovered, every little bit of information can be useful; regardless of how silly you feel!
