In addition to Michaels post, put a towel over the basin when cleaning lenses or where you put lenses in and out.

Stops them getting chipped if they get dropped and also prevents them bouncing off of a hard surface!

Handy to keep one with you all the time for if you uses public toiilets to take lenses out.

Gives you a clean surface and again covers the sink which often has no plug!
