There is another fable: better known as Xeno's Paradox.
An archer takes aim at a target. He lets his arrow fly. On its way from bow to target the arrow first has to travel half way. From that half way point to the target it has to travel half way again. From that point it has to travel half way again.
No matter how many times you divide a finite number by two, you never get to zero. Therefore, according to Xeno's Paradox. the arrow can never reach its target. Maybe if you apply this principle to age, you really never will catch up

anne,
i had a local when i had my other stitch put in - granted it was only one, but i promise u it was fine. I was having a general, got the pre-med etc and seriously, that thing they stick in the back of ur hand is the most painful thing of the whole experience (inc the graft)
All i can say is it was uncomfortable when they like clamp ur eye open - not sore, u just cant blink, and then when they rinse ur eye, cause obviously u want to blink.
Was a little pain afterwards, but nothin paracetamol doesnt cure.
