hello there i have problems with them aswell if i can i just avoid them but if there are yellow lines its easier but i have problems with depth perception from my astigmatism so thats why i dislike them.

also some people think that they have the right to make smart remarks about people taking there time on them aswell.

i just ignore them as most people in glasgow and when i have been in edinburgh people are helpfull.

infact most places in scotland are helpfull.

but when i was down south it was different people thought you are second class.

nothing against england.

all the best

james
anyways all you KC people get out there and try things you are scared to do it will amaze you the impact it has on your self esteem and confidence.

I'm okay going up escalators but coming down is a different matter. I usually grip the handrail if I'm on my own or grab the back of hubby's coat if we are on one together. I'm not a great lover of heights so I don't like them if they are particularly steep like some on the underground.

I am ok with escalators but when i am at the cinema i struggle to come down the stairs, they have a row of red lights on the end of every step and its really hard to see where to put your feet

I took my children up St Pauls cathedral in the summer i was fine going up but coming down it was so scary. One of my kids went down on their bum and everyone thought she was very cute bet they wouldn't of felt the same if i had done the same, but i felt like it

Word of caution Don't climb St Pauls when you have KC :D

I do remember before i even wore glasses looking at stairs in shops etc and feeling very dizzy, don't get the dizzy feeling anymore so perhaps my brain has got used to it.
