Driving in the dark is a nightmare. I very rarely do it now unless i really have to. The only things i can suggest which may help a little are to keep you screen as clean as possible inside and out. And anti glare night driving glasses. You will probably find each of us has little things that help/aid us personally. Hope thats been of some use too you

ReJoySing.

It is a challenge.

GarethB gave me some good tips for driving in the dark in the following post:

The problem i think most have is from the "flares" from street/tail lights rather than they actual vision, drives you nuts don't it?!

Before I knew what was wrong with my eyes I couldnt drive in the dark, the halos and vision problems were awful. Once I had found out what was wrong with me and got some new glasses I found night time driving easier, they did something to the lenses of my glasses to reduce glare and they are fab!
Now just keeping my fingers crossed my KC is stable for a while!

The coating put on glasses is an anti reflective/glare coating.

I have these on the sunglasses the optom made for me. The lenses have no poewr to them and I also have a set of non-tinted lenses with the same coating for times I am a bit more sensitive to light than normal.

Generally the screen tints on my cars do the job just as well.

Yes, I also have problems - I just try to keep to routes I know and make sure I have plenty of cleaner in the windscreen wiper bottle.

I kn ow that I am out of step here, but I prefer driving in the dark. the advice Gareth gives is very good, and will, to some extent at least, improve the experience.

The bottom line is that if you are not safe to drive in the dark, you should not do it.

In addition to Andrews comments, regardless of weather you know the road or not, if you are concerned about you nighht time vision for driving you should not.

Should the worst happen and you have an accident and it is shown your vision is not suitable for night driving, your insurance will be void and you could loose your licence and face criminal charges!

I know this will worry many, but the fact is such things have happend.
