I have been wearing for two weeks.
My optometrician didn't lose any time fitting lens, she just
took a corneal topography and sent it to the laboratory which returned
two different lenses for tests. She chose the one that fitted me best and
then another topography with it. Then she told me that the laboratory will
custom-made the inner side of the lens for me and I could expect
good comfort and visual acuity.
They call it a variable geometry lens and cost €225 a single one.
The comfort was pain the first day but luckily after two weeks the lens
is only a little nuisance. Thanks to the forum I knew this is usual with RGPs.
About the quality of vision I reach the eight line (0.8 ) which seems nice
however I experience a single ghost image (it seems regular astigmatism) and
also a moderate halo effect on lights.
Happy new year.
