Postby james mckinlay » Mon 11 Dec 2006 11:09 pm

hi all id like to take this chance to thank the group for all the hard work that has been done over the past year.

if it wasnt for this group i would be in one big mess i know for a fact it has had a positive effect on me it gives me more confidence and understanding of certain aspects of our condition.

through the scottish group i have had the honour of meeting such interesting people and had the chance to listen to various talks and have gained a lot of information for which i am lucky and gratefull

keep up the hard work thanks

Good point James!

Sometimes I even forget why and when we first came to this site.....and how much it has helped me!....Its just good knowing that theres other people out there who you can run things past...and get there opinions and an insight into their experiences in managing KC.....
KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -

Hehe i remember exactly when i started posting, it was the beginning of half a years blindness! LOL!!

I am very thankful for all the help and support i have had with friends here. It is easy for those looking after us to tell us to go away, leave our lenses out and rest, but when our whole life is falling apart just because you can't put a piece of plastic in your eye to see we almost give up!

The number of drs i have talked to in an emergency setting who calmly tell me to just go away and stop wearing lenses without understanding that i would be pretty much blind is a nightmare! Arrghhh vanity has long gone out the window!!!!! I just want to see, is that so hard?!!! LOL!!!

Thanks to all the friends here and the many more new ones we will soon get! Take care of yourselves.

Loads of love ... Sweet X x X

I am afraid I am back to work now so I don't have the time any more to look for people's first posts. there is a little collection of them in Chit Chat, but I only found John, Gareth and Lou.

I agree with james, 100 %

James,

I am sure I speak on behalf of all the comittee in thanking you and everyone else for their kind words.

We are all here because we have found the group realy supportive in our time of need and those on the comittee, well it is just their way of returning that help we received to others.

Great news that you are still doing well and we wish you a very Merry Christmas and an even better New Year and the whole of 2007 and more :D
Gareth
