And the last thing I need is sunlight. :D  I had the choice to go out or not today and I nearly didn't because it was sunny. 8) I can go from wanting the lighting down low, to wanting things to be brightly lit. The only constant is that being able to see the light source is a definite no no. Uplighters rule in our house. :D

I can just about get by without my glasses but life is far easier with them. :D Without them things are out of focus and no matter how much I screw my face up I can't get close to how good my sight is with them.

Just goes to show how different we all are.

I'm not keen on sunlight as far as comfort goes... a nice subdued lighted room is best. In my computer room, I usually have the light on and the blinds closed - even in daylight!

However, when it comes to reading, it's the brighter the better - and sunlight is much better for me than anything artificial.

The front window in our lounge catches the sun from late morning until it sets. I used to keep the curtains closed but it made the room too dark so I made a pair from thin poly cotton. They get drawn when the sun is a problem to me and the main, heavy ones once it's dark.

I cringe when on all the DIY progs on TV they talk about opening rooms up to bring in lots of light. I'd be bricking the windows up not making them bigger.

Before you ask, no my friends don't call me Dracula, but that's probably only because I don't have the teeth for it. :P

I wonder if any of you experience this effect: at times I can glance at something and apparently SEE it ok....the scene or item registers just fine, e.g. the lines in the floor, a road sign, etc. But, if I look back and concentrate on it the image degrades and detail is gone. Is that just the brain filling in or something? or, I can look at my puter screen and actually see the little pixel dots, but not be able to read the words in a news story!

Looking forward to being normal again. Piper
