Maybe the new techniques will be cheaper than the old ones! Shorter recovery time, fewer clinic appointments etc can all make for a changed economic environment.

I am afraid you are right about the post code effect on the English NHS, but up here in the wintry North we live free from NICE and all its ways.

I'd be more than happy to put myself up for a test case.

I'm due my transplant in the new year and a quicker recovery time is music to my ears.

Saying that, I know we're a fair way off at the moment and I'm not quite desperate enough to let one of you loose with a glue gun.
