I think you are spot on there, it is only the lens manufacturers who are activle developing lenses that extra measurments are of interest.

The hospital I go to sends off copies of the topography to their lens supplier who collates the data to help improve there lens fitting kits and lens range.

That's pretty much what I assumed as their reason was in the previous post. But much as it pains me to agree with Donald Rumsfeld, as quoted, we don't alway know what it is we don't know and without understanding the symptoms we may never find out.

Unfortunatly due to the relative rarity of KC compared to eye conditions unfortunatly this is where we miss out on the research.
