Yellow things turn blue

Postby Andrew MacLean » Tue 08 Aug 2006 3:01 pm

I have been getting very tired recently looking at my computer screen, so I changed it to "white-on-black", everything in negative image. What a difference!

One big change is that everything that was yellow now appears blue: the emoticons, the avatar golden eye ...

Seriously, if anyone is having trouble seeing their screen I strongly reccomend this strategy.

1 In Mac OC X go to system preferences
2 Click on "Universal Access"
3 Select "white on black"

Marvelous

Please don't think I am going "micro soft" but you can this in windows too:

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Display and select High Contrast

You can go black & white or a number of other colour schemes

I actually struggled with high contrast, it made things more blurry but there is quite a choice for personal needs / preferences.

There you are, then! MS windows is up there alongside the best when it comes to screen inversion :D

thanks for adding to the information: I think it may be possible that there is somebody else here who uses Windows and who may benefit from the help you gave. As to the rest of us, well, we use Mac :D , Acorn, etc

I like the TFT screens as I can avoid playing with windows and at the press of a button on the monitor go to default mode or quickly go to the saved settings with ultra low brightness/contrast and my unique colour settings giving everything a hint of blue.
