My mum still takes a few days to gt used to them when she gts a new paid of glasses.
She's now 75 and has been wearing specs since before the war.
Hope yours settle down over the next couple of days for you.

I have had my glasses for four months now and the optom warned me that I would get these weird effects because of the extreme prescription, mostly settled down after a while. I still have a bit of an impaired depth perception and when washing up, the frying pan held at 45° in front of me definitely does not appear to be circular.

Hi<
I wear glasses all the time.
I have been told that they can not make my glasses any stronger, so i am guessing they are a strong prescription!
It took me about a month to get full use out of them because they made me feel quiet ill. I had to increase my wear time and i could n't go out in them to start off with.

Thanks for the feedback. It's very helpful and reassuring to hear that these 'symptoms' are common. For a minute I thought Boots had given me someone else's glasses...
Like both Andrew and Anne, I also get a strange, headache, queasy feeling whilst wearing the specs. A bit like sea-sickness. Only through staying absolutely still, does the vision and distortion settle.
I'll slowly build up the wearing time over the next week or so and see how it goes.
