20/20 vision

Postby Anne B » Thu 27 Jul 2006 1:17 pm

Well just when i thought i had it sorted, i go to a scleral lens fitting and get 20/20 vision  :D  :D

Went to Moorfields yesterday and tried scleral lenses and they seemed to be great. So ithink i am going to give them a try.
The only problem is when i asked how long it will take to get them they said about 9 weeks. So i said that it will be to late in 9 weeks because i am haing a graft in 8 weeks!!
It may seem like i am being awkward but i am so fed up with waiting to be able to see. Surely thats not to much to ask for.Anyway they said they would rush them through and will contact me next week! I am not holding my breath

So it looks like the grafts on hold for a while. :D

Anne

They are pretty good if its cases such as yours......Id like to think they will deliver in maybe even 4-6 weeks.....quickest I ever had one from them was 2 weeks!....where I had limited vision as my other eye was sore....and this i could onlywear the rgp for like 6 hours a day.

But do call them up!.....dont be shy and think your being a pain!.....OH and if you get through to someone ASK FOR THERE NAME!...I cant stress this...as I have been lied to and fobed off soo many times when calling before.....

Is there any point in any of our experiences of KC that we're not waiting for something? :( We must end up being among the most patient people on the planet.

I hope you get it sorted asap Anne, and don't forget to keep breathing.

Alison i agree with you we are all very patient and polite. but i am losing it now! If i still havn't got any thing sorted out for christmas plays this year (i will have 3 to go to) i am going to moorfields and i will stand in clinic 4 and SCREAM until i get the best lenses ever

Either scream until you get your lenses or until you are sick!

I scream
You scream
We all scream together.

Sooner or later they will notice and do anything just to get us to shut up! :D

(by the way, I'm thinking that Lousie must have noticed that Ice Cream and I Scream sound the same. so mine's a toffee ripple)

B&J's all round Andrew!!

Talking of screaming [this is for real] I was so worn down with the council drilling the outside the building over weeks 8am-4pm and it's impossible to have a phone call because it's so loud, in the heat and with yet another headache I found myself screaming in frustration. I mean full-on Hammer Horror screaming! God knows what the neighbours thought...
