Hi all
This was a very positive article and shows how KC can be overcome when it gets to it's worst.
My only concern with it, is the way some of it has been written it makes it sound quite a quick fix for anyone with KC.
“The whole cornea was removed and the donor’s was stitched in.............. On the day after my operation I was able to see clearly through my left eye without glasses or lenses".
Have a transplant be able to see the next day - in reality I am sure we all know this is not always quite so simple.
Unfortunately others who may read the daily papers will not necessarily realise this and possibly get the wrong end of the stick.
After all if it was that simple we would all be ready in line waiting our turn.
best wishes
Susan
