I'm thinking of putting my daughter to bed and irrigating my throat with a bottle of wine :D

The irrigation of the throat with anything from a bottle that is sealed with a cork, is always best undertaken in company.

It's back again, that terrible urge to rub my grafted eye. I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!! I don't know if it' part of the healing process, the start of hayfever or what. I'm sitting with a gel pack on my eye trying to soothe the irritation. I've had another very bad eye day at work, I dont know how long I can struggle along like this.
Has anyone had any experience with the use of specific eye drops for the treatment of hayfever, post graft?

My eyes have been really itchy all day. I'm putting it down to bright weather and the start of spring. Been fairly squirting in the carbomer all day.

Suggestion; put a bottle of Hypromellose in the fridge, then irrigate with cold Hypromellose, the coolness makes itching subside, I've done this with hayfever symptoms, it's very effective. There are also gel filled eye masks you can buy which you put in the fridge and then place over your eyes to cool them

Louise

Thats a good idea!....I used to do the same thing with Amidose Tubes, Id leave them in the fridge and every morning would just wash the eyes with them when I woke up, then filled the Sclerals up and inserted them....

felt really good and got my eyes wide awake!

although I am not sure how well that would sooth an itch...

coolness does sooth itching, it slightly deadens the sensation of it, just as if your skin is itchy [bite or condition] if you run it under water or put a compress on it, it relieves the itching
