how will I know if I am having rejection issues?

Quick (I hope) question;

Since I am not seeing the consultant for two months, its occurred to me that if anything goes wrong that I will need to make a trip to the Eye A&E, anyway I am curious to know:

What are the obvious signs of transplanted cornea rejection?

Yes I know I should have asked the consultant but this has only just occurred to me.

Any idea what "the initial healing period" is?

It sounds like one of those vague unquantifiable periods of time.

I can tell you so much, Paul, that my surgeon told me when I saw him post-Easter and everything was ok, that I shouldn´t really listen to horror-stories on message boards. The cornea, he said, is a though part of the body, and normally one should not worry. I try to follow his advice.

My only comment on Jayuk's post though is the "V". Rather than just decreased vision (though in my experience it is), I understand the "V" in RSVP to be "Vision Change". If your vision is suddenly different to how it was yesterday... time for a trip to A&E
