Vision getting better!!

Postby Sweet » Fri 14 Apr 2006 3:14 pm

Hehe am playing about here as i always do, trying to see if my grafted eye can see any better! LOL!! 8)

Have now found out using the optoms little chart here and sitting an arms length from the screen that i can see with my good eye

6 lines without a lens
8 lines with

and more importantly! ...

4 lines with my grafted eye
... when before the graft i couldn't even see the little icon!!!

I mean FOUR lines!!!!

So MAJOR improvement i think, and tomorrow it will be 8 months!! Wow didn't that go fast, and everyone said i would have NO patience! Nah nah proved you wrong because i got here in the end even if i did have a few little stitch problems along the way! :P 8) Hehehe

... There is a lot to be said for the quiet little tortoise who just bides their time and saves their energy until the very last minute when it really counts!! 8)

Oh little things!!!!! So John DON'T take this little icon away or my eyesight testing days here are over, and for once i haven't memorised this chart as that drives my optoms mad! Hehehe ...

See i had some faith in me along with my little furry friends bouncing below!

Great news Sweet. I'm really pleased for you. A wonderful way to start Easter.

Maybe it's my computer or me being stupid but I can't see your furry friend any more. What's happened?

Weird, all I see are squares with a red cross in each one!

Hey, that is FANTASTIC. Maybe you should now graduate to one of the charts where the bottom lines are actually visible :-)

You may even be able to read them!

Thats great! I always feel good when my eyesight improves, unfortunately I dont think that is happening at the moment. I just noticed yesterday I cant read the clock on the other side of my room anymore when I am at my desk... Oh well, I have an appointment on the 4th May anyway.

I find white wine helps my unaided sight, red wine helps with tear production.

Had you been drinking sweet?

Beer just gets me drunk

Gareth

that is interesting. what effect does champagne have? It is made with red grapes, but appears white in the bottle and glass.

Hehe no i haven't been drinking! I now only drink when out and due to many bad nights with wine and shots am sticking to the only drink i can happily have to excess and not get drunk! .... Malibu and Diet coke, but ... NO ICE!!

Hehe thinking after all these choccie eggs though that i will drink just water for a while! 8)
