Walking away
You know when you get that feeling of why did i do that knowing that hindsight is such a bad thing. Am sitting here lately wondering why the hell i bothered to pay to get a graft done when i don't see any better and all i have had is trouble ever since. While money doesn't mean much to me a wasted £3300 does, it feels like my numbers came up on the lottery but i lost the ticket
Just totally fed up so leaving here for a while as i can't cope.

Don't know what to say, Sweet.
That's a lot of cash to lay out on an operation that has not yet given you good sight.
If it's any consolation, I was nearly two years before my sight recovered. I now have very good sight in my graft eye, having been legally blind pre-op.
You are in our thoughts.
Yours aye
Andrew

Sweet I'm really sorry you are feeling so bad at the moment, I felt that way too when mine went pear shaped, it felt like it had been all for nothing, but it is still early days yet. There is still the possibility that in a few months, a year, or 18 months later you might be wearing a lens on that eye and seeing better. Don't rule out the possibility. You are very much cared about by many members here, you don't have to go away just because you are feeling bad. We will listen to you however you are feeling.

Sweet
I think you may need to put things into persecptive as I think your reasoning is somewhat out
You didnt pay for a graft because it was going to give you a better result
You paid for a graft because it was going to be done faster, catered around you, and a better level of service with private scheduled follow ups.
I think if you thought that paying was going to give you a better result than you was mistaken.
I dont want to come across hard here...but I must point that out.
Whilst I can understand you must feel down about others' results, I would like to think that in time things will get better!
Have you gone for a glasses refraction as said in my PM?....I dont think you should take any hasty steps and definately not try contact lenses etc.
Please do bind your time!.....And see how the next 4-8 weeks go. But please dont lose hope! WHne you lose hope you lose desire! and when you lose desire than the fat lady starts singing! So just dont look at any fat ladies singing!

Hey Sweet.
I'm really sorry you are feeling so down. I certainly didn't pick up on this yesterday although me being me I may have not heard something you were saying or simply didn't read between the lines.
As you know I have not had a graft as yet so I am not best placed to give you advice but you clearly have many friends here who will be very keen to help you through this difficult time.
You have certainly cheered a lot of others up from what I have seen so let us try and reciprocate
