Great news Craig. My next check up is 5th Jan i'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is well. Still no vision as yet and it does feel a bit sore today. But then i did go out without my drops today so that may be it.

Well I'm 16 days post graft today and all is going well. I'm still using the steroid drops every 4 hrs and noticed when I went out on Thursday and forgot to take them that i was in a hell of a lot of discomfort later that evening. I'll not do that again. I still have no improvement to my vision at all but it's still early days yet. The 'gritty' feeling that i was experiencing has settled a lot now, and i only seem to get it when i'm tired. I see th Doc again next Friday so i'll keep you all posted

With your drops, do you use one drop, then through the vial away? I was doing that, but when I went for my checkup, the professor told me to just put the lid back on and use them for the rest of the day.

craig

I use minims, but throw the vial away after I have medicated my eye. The alternative seems to be putting the little vial into the fridge and then being able to find it again later. Life is easier this way!

Craig
I don't have a vile. I use mine straight from the bottle. My Doc told me the only way I can get it wrong is by missing the eye completley. If i use too much the eye will wash out what is not needed.

Drops from a vial are presrvative free which is why they need to be discarded at the end of each day.

As with any eye drops, as long as the tip does not touch the eye, they should remain sterile for the rest of the day.

Keeping them in a fridge once opend helps preserve the sterility and is quite soothing when you use the next drop.

Thanks, saves me some money on prescriptions, now each prescription will last 80 days, not 20!
