Uni and what to do

Postby space_cadet » Sun 28 Feb 2010 5:58 pm

So uni is to be polite going patheticly, I can't read text books, one of my tutors is out to get me and humiliate me every chance she gets, saw the head of department about her last week and came away fed up as he see's the only forward if I formally write a complaint about her or quit complaining week 1 refuse to give me a accessible copy of the module handbook, saying I can print one off at my own expense despite no student loan all year yet! week 2 had a eye infection so was waiting for a call from hospital with a urgent appointment then got told off for taking it despite lettering her know before the lecture, week 3 sent out for using eyedrops week 4 class watching a dvd but sent home as 'you wont be able to see it' week 5 handed lightblue paper (which I need for my dyslexia) and pastle grey text!! for notes told if i want them darker to 'rint yourself' and accused of sleeping through said dvd week 6 what a shame I am at NUS disabled students conference so can't make it in tis week

An essay I was really chuffed with got 35% last semester so is a fail highest it can now get is 40% which is pathetic, reason for failing not very clear so need to find someone who can read the feedback to me properly. Only other grade back this year 45% but 3 pages of essay not included for some reason and missing from marking criteria. Again pathetic grade.

The last 2 years have averaged 70% minamum.

Since October and starting final year gone from needing a minamum of size 30 text to I am not quite sure what size but huge! and then get annoyed and irirtated bydistrubance ofit.

Disability department - words fail me it appears that they have never delt with KC before, they are trying their 'best' which is the worse thing beacuse I know they only know what they know about KC thanks to me :S

Need to sort out a meeting iwht head of department again and literally will spell out 'I AM DEBATING FAILING EVERYTING ON PURPOSE TO RETAKE THE YEAR JUST TO GET THE DEGREE I KNOW I DESERVE' can't give in on the year at this stage as don't have the money for the tuition so gotta keep going to fail.

Let me be realistic here 6 essays due by May all around 3k words, is it possible - NO

So should I carry on? and purposly fail?

fighting off tears
a rather pathetic
and fed up
not to mention eyes sore
headachy
lost her sunglasses AGAIN

I'm really sorry you are not being supported it is such a problem with KC, lack of formal recognition.
They should let you print off module texts at the uni not on your own home computer as the I'm assuming the handbooks given to the other students are free?
You may have to consider a formal complaint
